Birds at the Redbud Cabin in Tennessee

Updated: Jan 22, 2020

The Redbud Cabin in Greeneville, TN is a modern, comfortable and fully equipped cabin but one of the best things about it is its location in the forest. It sits at the edge of the cliff overlooking the Nolichuckey River making it the perfect spot if you love bird watching from the comforts of home.

The birds come and go throughout the seasons but there is always someone out there pecking on trees, terrorizing squirrels or just bathing in the river no matter how cold, hot, windy or rainy it gets.

Pam is always excited for Spring time because that's when the Hummingbirds come back. “Her” little ruby throated male made his appearance by drive bombing her head as if to say, “hey, I’m back! Get my feeder up NOW.”

Wouldn't it be amazing to have a conversation with this little guy who flew nonstop all the way to southern Mexico or even maybe into Central American and back. What would he say, “woman, you’re not putting enough sugar in that water. That was a long and tiring trip.”

But he’s here now and we’ll give him our best NBCabin hospitality so that he sticks around to entertain all our wonderful guests for the next few months.

We hope you enjoy your stay at Nolichuckey Bluffs Bed & Breakfast Cabins and let us know, what birds are you looking forward to spot while you're here?
